We’re at a point in time where mental health cannot be emphasised enough, and it’s eye-opening to see organisations step up to create awareness and make a difference. Linde Material Handling Australia is leading by example through our latest partnership with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, shining the spotlight on mental health and physical well-being in the transport, warehousing, and logistic industries.

A commitment to well-being

Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, launched in August 2020, is a registered not-for-profit Australian foundation aimed at nurturing the mental health and physical well-being of individuals working in the road transport, warehousing, and logistics sectors. Joining forces with industry-leading organisations, like Australia Post, Coles, Linfox, Toll, Ron Finemore Transport, and Woolworths, the foundation aims to create a safer and more supportive working environment for all.

Linde’s decision to partner with Healthy Heads is a testament to our commitment to the health and well-being of our team members and positively impacting the industries we serve daily.

Kristian Swart, Head of Product and Sales Operations and the driving factor in this new partnership, explains, “This partnership was an opportunity for Linde to give back to the industry that supports us, and to leverage the good work that they’re doing at Healthy Heads for our remote workers. Everyone’s had some up and downs over the past few years, whether it’s physical health or mental health, and it’s exciting – the program is driven for not only awareness but real action to support the growth in warehousing and logistics.”

Beyond financial support

Linde’s support and involvement with Healthy Heads extends beyond financial contributions. We aim to actively engage in the programs and services offered by Healthy Heads. This includes workshops on mental health, as well as an on-site roadshow.

It also includes raising awareness, providing resources, and encouraging our team members to make the most of the services available, including the Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds mobile app that offers reduced healthy food options at BP and provides valuable tips for personal well-being.

Backbone of Australia

It's especially important to acknowledge the critical role of our truck drivers. They are, undeniably, the backbone of Australia, ensuring the seamless delivery of goods across the country, including the transportation of our Linde and Baoli trucks, and their well-being is directly correlated with the success of the logistics sector.

Linde’s message is clear – we prioritise mental well-being. Our partnership with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds represents a significant step forward in the collective journey towards mental health awareness and support. It’s a powerful reminder that together, we can foster a healthier, more supportive work environment for everyone, making a difference in the lives of those who keep our industry moving.
