Tony Innaimo Transport, based in Queanbeyan, NSW, has seen its humble beginnings of a single truck doing local deliveries evolve into a successful and reputable interstate powerhouse with a fleet of over 100 trucks. Providing third-party logistics warehousing and distribution to major cities along the East Coast, the company has grown quite significantly since its founding over 30 years ago.

Pogai Leleimalefaga, the NSW Depot Manager for Tony Innaimo Transport, shares insights into how Linde’s short-term rental (STR) solutions have enhanced their operations.

Utilising a blended fleet of 39 units counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks across their business operations, Linde’s STR solutions allows them to pivot their business when needed.

“Linde’s STR solution allows us the flexibility to scale our business needs on demand. There are always customers that come and go, and having that flexibility allows us to adjust our fleet without the constraints of a long-term contract. If the work’s not there we can scale back, and when the demand picks up, we can simply jump on the phone and increase our fleet,” says Pogai.

Speaking to the quality and reliability of Linde’s machinery, Pogai comments, “We’ve encountered very few issues with the equipment provided by Linde. On the rare occasions when there are issues, the service team is quick to respond, minimising any potential downtime.”

The ease of service and maintenance is complemented by the user-friendly design of Linde’s forklifts. With their fleet predominantly consisting of Linde’s H18-H20 internal combustion forklifts, they benefit greatly from Linde’s renowned hydrostatic drive system. The hydrostatic drive ensures smooth operations by enabling Linde’s innovative twin pedal system, which allows for quick and efficient direction changes, making it ideal for loading and unloading in fast-paced environments like logistics.

Tony Innaimo Transport’s experience with the Linde customer service team throughout the rental process has been seamless, exceeding their expectations. Dealing with other suppliers in previous roles has made Pogai appreciative of Linde’s communication updates, quick turnaround times, and repair feedback. Pogai adds, “Once we log a ticket, the team comes out the very next day, if not the same day. They’re very onto it when it comes to our service requests.”

Beyond Linde’s equipment, the personal touch in customer service is where Linde excels. “I’m fairly new to this specific role, but from my experience, the service we’re getting from Tony Urfan, Linde Territory Manager, is exceptional. He’s always on point in replying in a timely manner. I’m very satisfied with the service he provides. We also have monthly catchups with Richard Lawson, Linde’s Retail Service Manager, and he provides us with detailed reports to ensure our fleet performs as it should. It’s good to have that constant communication open between us.”
